How Laguna Actually Works (and Why It Shapes Your Rewards)
Laguna runs on real commerce, not a faucet. Partner merchants pay Laguna a commission on every purchase Residents make through the platform, and Laguna shares a cut of that back as real, asset-backed cashback. Every dollar you earn traces back to an actual purchase, somewhere in the Lagoon.
The more Residents shop, the more merchants see real sales come through, and the more reason they have to sweeten their offers and keep bringing better cashback rates to the Lagoon. It’s a loop that works in your favor: you’re going to buy the things you buy anyway, so every time you come back and shop through Laguna, you’re both banking cashback and helping fund better rates for next time.
That’s the same thread running through Taskmaster: rewards from missions (and other perks across the Lagoon) sit in your account as earned, and unlock for withdrawal once you’ve made a purchase of $3 or more. It keeps your rewards tied to the same real economy that funds them, which is what keeps the cashback pool healthy for every Resident, not just the first ones through the door.
There’s also a minimum withdrawal, somewhere between $1 and $10 depending on the token, mostly to cover network and platform fees. But that window doesn’t have to close. Clear Tier 2 and your maximum rate holds for a full week. Reach Tier 3 and it stretches to a month, the same elevated Gold status our most active Residents carry. Make Captain, and you’re locked into maximum rates for a full year.
Think of it less as a deadline and more as a ladder. The further you move through Taskmaster, the longer you get to earn at the top of the scale, the standing usually reserved for Laguna’s VIP Residents.
Earn While You Learn
Every task in Taskmaster is doing double duty. Setting up your Tether wallet isn’t homework, you’ll need it to actually receive your crypto. Practicing a merchant click teaches you the exact motion you’ll repeat every time you shop and earn. And copying your referral code isn’t just admin, it’s how your friends find their own shore, and how you earn 10% of what they bring in.
